Before his death, Jesus gave his followers a tremendous promise. "The
counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and
will remind you of everything I have said to you" (John 14:26). What a hope filled promise. Not only
would the Holy Spirit lead them into greater depths of spiritual understanding, but he would also reteach
them everything that they had heard and learned from the Savior during the three years that they
were with him.
Just as the Holy Spirit was with the disciples, comforting and teaching
them, he is with you today.
How important is the Holy Spirit?
LUKE 12:10, "AND EVERYONE THAT SAYS A WORD
AGAINST THE SON OF
The definition of Blasphemy is expressing a lack of reverence. It is
the showing of disrespect toward
something sacred. Many Bible commentators feel that a person blasphems
the Holy Spirit when he
rejects the Word of God which the Holy Spirit is attempting to bring
into the hearts of all people.
So the Holy Spirit is real and he is considered by God to be very,
very important. If you let him he can easily become a very valuable friend, a friend who will always
be with you, always guide you correctly, always be true to you. He is right next to you this very
second. All you have to do is reach out and ask him to be your friend. If you do, then suddenly you will
have the most powerful friend you can imagine right by your side day and night. A faithful and trusted
friend who is always ready to help, and a friend who will very willingly guide you into eternal salvation.
who are spiritually dead. When you sin it is the Holy Spirit who convicts
your mind and your heart of
your wrong doing. He is the one who baptizes all believers into the
true fellowship of Jesus Christ. At
the very moment that a person becomes saved the holy Spirit indwells
in them permanently so that
their salvation can be assured. He also seals them unto the day of
final redemption, bestows spiritual
gifts upon them, and fills those who are yielding to him with the grace
of God.
peace and joy. It is the guidance of the Holy Spirit who is going to
change your character, your
conduct, your personality, yes your entire life. It is the Holy Spirit
that is going to make the poor rich,
the weak strong, and the lowly exalted. And the Holy Spirit does not
come and go from your life.
Once you become saved, once you are born again, then he will be with
you always.
possess or control us. We must seek and desire to follow God's lead
in our lives. Our efforts apart
from the Holy Spirit are futile. Yet the Holy Spirit's power without
our efforts simply represents
potential energy. It is like a light switch in the off position. The
potential to light up the room is present, but the circuit is open and nothing is flowing through. It
is the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit that will ultimately make possible the completion of our salvation.
It is our efforts and his power that is going to get us into heaven. The Holy Spirit gives us the spiritual
love and the spiritual strength to obey God, to control our sinful nature, and to walk on a righteous
path in God's love. The spirit filled life is not about how much of the Holy Spirit a believer can
gain, because when you were saved,God indwelled you fully, completely, and forever with the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit filled life is about how much of you the Holy Spirit can gain.
persons, set aside Barnabas and Saul apart for Me for the work to which
I have called them.
fellowship of The Holy Spirit be with you all.
However, when that one arrives, he will guide you into all the truth,
for he will not speak of his
own impulse, but what things he hears he will speak, and he will declare
to you the things coming.
That one will glorify me, because he will receive from what is mine
and will declare it to you.
Although there will be times when you feel as though God is not at
work in your life, he is.
You may even fight feelings of discouragement and doubt, but always remember
there is never a time when God is not active in your life. He knows the plans he has for you,
and he is committed to bringing each one to completion. Whether you can sense it or not, he is leading
you into a greater awareness of his spiritual truth.

THE UNFORGIVABLE SIN
He is so important that the only unforgivable sin in the entire Bible
concerns the Holy Spirit. You can do and commit any sin that you can think of, and if you repent of that
sin, you will be forgiven, except for one sin, that if you commit will never be forgiven. This unforgivable
sin is found in several different places in the Bible.
MAN, THAT WILL BE FORGIVEN; BUT HE THAT BLASPHEMES
AGAINST THE
HOLY SPIRIT WILL NOT BE FORGIVEN.
MARK 3:29, "WHOEVER BLASPHEMES AGAINST THE
HOLY SPIRIT WILL
NEVER HAVE FORGIVENESS, BUT IS GUILTY OF EVERLASTING
SIN."
Hence this rejection or this refusal on your part is telling God that
you just don't believe what he is trying to tell you, nor is it worth your time to even look into it,
that you feel the very Word of God is not important, and that you reject the teachings and the beliefs of
Jesus Christ.
