Dramatis personae

Susan. My wife. Kind and patient,
mostly, except when I'm a pain in
the ass, which is often.

And her family: David (her husband),
and their children, Claire and Marcy.

And his children: Nick and Charlie.

Jeff. My other brother.

Kell. My other other brother,
who lives in New York.
(Hey! Call us once in a while, okay?)

She's a professional mother.

and her husband Dan
and their sons Adam, Aaron and Alex;

friends married to each other,
and their children Frank and Kitty.

Mary, who works for my wife,
and Jamie, Mary's boyfriend.

My co-workers: Anne, from Beijing;

Andrei, from St. Petersburg (Russia);
energetic Jason, Paul,
curmudgeonly Ralph, bossy Stephanie,
Murphy, Ben, and gentle Tim.

I think).

from running into him on a regular basis at
Corinth Library, and from Linda Hall Library.

where she in fact works.

enslaved.
