Configuration Guide for Windows Mail

Configuring Internet E-mail

If this is not the first time you are configuring Windows Mail, open Windows Mail, click the Tools menu and select Accounts.   Otherwise, skip to Step 1.

Then Complete the following series of screens.

Step 1 - Select Account Type  Select E-mail Account.  Click Next.

Step 2 - Your Name  In the Display Name field type your "your name".  Click Next.

Step 3 - Internet E-mail Address  In the E-mail address field type your "username@kcnet.com".  Remember, this is case sensitive!  Click Next.

Step 4 - Set up e-mail servers  Be sure "POP3" is selected in the Incoming e-mail server type field.  In lower case letters, type "pop.kcnet.com" for the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server and "smtp.kcnet.com" for the Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP) name.  Click Next.

Step 5 - Internet Mail Logon  Type your assigned username in the E-mail username field and password in the Password field. Remember, they are both case sensitive!  Click Next.

Step 6 - Congratulations  Finally, click Finish.
