Configuration for Ascend Pipeline using 
Static IP Addressing
 

Step 1 - From the Main Edit Menu, select Configure and enter the following settings:

Switch Type=NI-1 (or as obtained from your ISDN provider)
Chan Usage=Switch/Switch
My Num A=(put in your 1st local 7 digit phone number)
My Num B=(put in your 2nd local 7 digit phone number if 128k, leave blank if 64k)
SPID 1=(your 1st SPID number assigned to you by your ISDN provider, generally the 9 digit area code and phone number followed by 0101)
SPID 2=(your 2nd SPID number assigned to you by your ISDN provider if 128k, leave blank if 64k, generally the 9 digit area code and phone number followed by 0101)
Ans Voice Call=No
My Name= (the user id provided by KCnet)
My Addr=(a valid address in the subnet assigned by KCnet, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/27)
Rem Name=KCnet
Rem Addr=(ip address of the KCnet access server, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/24, provided by KCnet)
Dial #=(phone number assigned by KCnet)
Route=IP
Bridge=No
Send Auth=PAP
Send PW=*****
Recv Auth=None
Recv PW=N/A
Save=(go ahead and save your changes)

 
Step 2
- From the Main Edit Menu, select
Ethernet, then select Connections, then select KCnet, and finally select Ip options and enter the following settings:

LAN Adrs=(same as remote address, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/24)
WAN Alias=0.0.0.0
IF Adrs=(static ip address assigned by KCnet, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/24)
Preference=60
Metric=1
DownPreference=120
DownMetric=7
Private=No
RIP=Off
Client Pri DNS=0.0.0.0
Client Sec DNS=0.0.0.0
Client Assign DNS=No
Client Gateway=0.0.0.0
