Macintosh Configuration for KCnetIn order to connect to the Internet with a Macintosh, you will need to install and configure either MacTCP or Open Transport (TCP/IP), and MacPPP. If you have used another ISP previously, there is a good chance you already have the software listed below. In that case, it is just a simple matter of following the instructions to reconfigure your software. If you have not used an ISP, you might not have the software listed below. Since MacTCP and Open Transport are not shareware, they cannot be distributed free of charge. A good way to obtain these programs is by purchasing The Internet Starter Kit for Macintosh, which is a book by Adam Engst available in popular book stores, or The Apple Internet Connection Kit, a software package available in software stores. MacTCPTo install MacTCP, copy the MacTCP control panel to the Control Panels folder in your System Folder. Restart your Mac. After completing these fields, click the Connect Script Button and ensure there are no values. KCnet doesn't use this feature. Next, click the LCP Options Button and select default settings. Find the line item called Authentication (PAP) and checkmark the Want and Will boxes under the Remote Column. Then click OK. Then, click the Authentication Button. Enter your assigned username in the Auth ID field and your password in the password field. Select OK, and then Click Done.
