How To Get Started
1. Choose an
instant messenger program from the list above to open the official
website for the software.
2. Register for an account by selecting a screen name and password.
Your screen name is unique and unrelated to your KCnet account.
3. Download and install the software per the vendor's instructions.
4. Open the software and sign on to the service.
5. Read the Help section of the instant messaging software for a
brief overview of how to use the application.
6. Add friends and family to your buddy list. Most instant
messengers will show you when a member of your buddy list is online.
7. Refer to the Help section of the instant messaging software for
answers to any of your remaining questions about that software.
